Reflections

Walter Campbell Jr was born on March 14, 1949 in McGehee AR to the late Walter Campbell Sr. and Rosetta Lewis-Campbell. Along with both parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Campbell, and Leo Campbell, one sister, Ora Lee Campbell, two sons Joseph Campbell and Joshua Campbell; one grandson Floyd Smith Jr.
 
He accepted Christ at an early age. Walter graduated from DeSha High School.He was a member of Bethel Independent Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor George Hunt in Pine Bluff where he remained until his death. 
 
Walter was a compassionate and caring person who enjoyed mentoring & counseling people for over 10 years at Arkansas Rehabilitation Center. Over 25 years ago he decided to pursue his dream of owning his own business by starting WC Remodeling. Walter enjoyed being a member of the singing group The Men of Black. They would often travel & workshop together.
 

 

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his fiance, Elizabeth Neal; his four daughters, Carolyn Dotson of Jacksonville, AR, Tonya Gillespie (Corey) of Maumelle, AR, Tukeisha Campbell of Rogers, AR, and Tawanna Campbell of Pine Bluff, AR; two sons, Walter Campbell III of Pine Bluff, AR, and David Campbell (Patricia)of Pine Bluff, AR; two brothers Arthur L. Campbell (Barbara) of Moore, OK, and Huey P. Campbell of Tallahassee, FL; two sisters, Minnie Campbell of Memphis, TN and Marjorie Steen of New Orleans, LA; one sister-in-law Janice Campbell of Forest City, AR; one aunt, Willie M. Lowe of Little Rock, AR; 13 grandchildren; Teanna, Amanda, Henry Jr, Courtney, Corrin, Tiffany, Adrana, Charles, Floykesha, Keyosha, Saquoia, Danshea, and Arianna; 9 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
