ROBERT L. MORTON JR. 50 YEARS OLD OF MALVERN, ARKANSAS. WAS BORN OCTOBER 10, 1966 TO MAYME MITCHELL AND ROBERT L. MORTON SR. IN BENTON, AR. HE WENT TO SLEEP IN THE ARMS OF HIS LORD AND SAVIOR ON JUNE 8, 2017. ROBERT ACCEPTED CHRIST AT AN EARLY AGE OF 12 YEARS OLD. HE WAS BAPTIZED AT OLIVER BAPTIST CHURCH IN HOUSTON, TEXAS UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF REVEREND WILLIAMS. HE WAS ACTIVE IN THE CHOIR AND BIBLE STUDY GROUPS. HE LOVED LEADING THE GROUPS, ATTENDED HOUSTON HIGH SCHOOL AND SPENT A YEAR IN PEACE CORP. WHERE HE LEARNED THE SKILL OF WELDING. HE ENJOYED SPORTS , ESPECIALLY FAVORED SWIMMING AND BASKETBALL. HE LOVED HIS FAMILY, AND SPENT AS MUCH TIME WITH THEM WHEN POSSIBLE. WORKING, TRAVELLING AND FACEBOOK WAS SOMETHING HE ALWAYS MADE TIME FOR. ROBERT MARRIED TWO TIMES IN HIS LIFE, HIS SHORT TIME HERE TOUCHED MANY LIVES IN SOME FASHION. BECAUSE OF HIS HAPPY SPIRIT,  HE ALWAYS MET AND GREETED PEOPLE WITH RESPECT. I TAUGHT HIM TO LOVE AND RESPECT OTHERS NO MATTER WHAT WAS GOING ON IN HIS LIFE. TO TRUST OTHERS THE WAY HE WANTED TO BE TRUSTED. THAT’S EXACTLY HOW HE LIVED HIS LIFE. HE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE ON HIS FACE, NO MATTER HOW HE FELT ON THE INSIDE.   ROBERT IS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS GRANDPARENTS; ROOSEVELT AND OZELL MORTON. MRS. LUEREE ROBERTS HEARN AND GRANDCHILDREN;  PEYTON AND PARKER.

Visitation: Thursday, 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
