Celebration of Life

Elder Robert Lee Hall was born November 5, 1949 in McAlmont, AR to the late Lena Mae and Jeff Hall, Sr.  He transitioned from this old earthly tabernacle to his new home in Glory on Friday, September 29, 2017 at CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, AR

Robert was a devoted employee at Baptist Medical Center Hospital for 28 years until his retirement in 2016.

Robert was devoted husband to Charlene Mitchell-Hall whom he married March 4, 1988. His spirit was genuine and kind. His demeanor, meek and humble and his smile would serve as a lamp unto any darkened path. Robert loved to praise and magnify the Lord and often danced as David did.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and daughter; Tramell Smith siblings; Adam Hall Sr., Pearl Addie Hall Childress, Eugene Edward Hall Sr., and Mary Louise Hall Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memory, son: Keith (Karen) Smith of Little Rock, grandsons: Xavier and Noah Smith, brothers; Johnny (Piccola) Hall, Jeff Hall, Carl (Marjorie) Hall, Peter (Jennifer) Hall, eldest niece; Marie Wise Gary, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

                        POEM

                    "ALL IS WELL"

Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
I am I, and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other, that we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name,
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference in your tone,
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me and if you want to, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was,
Let it be spoken without effect,
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was;
There is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you,
For an interval,
Somewhere very near,
Just around the corner.
All is well.
–Henry Scott-Holland
