Freddie Piggee Obituary

Freddie Mae Piggee, daughter of the late Woodie and Jamie Allen, was born January 22, 1941 in Tulip, Arkansas.  She departed this life on March 19, 2019.

 

She graduated from Carthage High School. At an early age, Freddie accepted Christ as her personal Savior and united with Toones Chapel A.M.E. Church of Tulip, Arkansas.  Later, she moved to Woodson, Arkansas and united with First Baptist Church Woodson where she remained a faithful member, serving as an usher and on the food committee until her health failed.  

 

Freddie was united in marriage to Kelly Piggee, Sr., who preceded her in death.  This union was blessed with a son and a daughter. Together they raised three children.

 

She was preceded in death by, her husband, Kelly Piggee, Sr., her parents, Woodie Allen, Sr. and Jamie Allen, two brothers, John Henry Jones and Woodie Allen, Jr., and one sister, Carrie Sue Lewis.

 

She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons Jewel Harper of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Terry Piggee of Woodson, Arkansas, one daughter Tanya (Michael) King of Woodson, Arkansas, two grandchildren, Michael “Cosmo” King and Compton King, of Woodson, Arkansas, four sisters, Ludell Current of Woodson, Arkansas, Jessie Martin of Little Rock, Arkansas, Pauline Owens of Malvern, Arkansas and Daisy Murdock of North Little Rock, Arkansas, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be entrusted to Gillespie Brothers Funeral Home and will be held at First Baptist of Woodson 24100 N Barton St Woodson, AR on March 23, 2019 at 11:30a.m.
